Our Pink Ribbon Pilates program caters specifically for those affected by breast cancer surgery and is based on the Pink Ribbon Program for post operative rehab.
We believe commencing a Pilates program as soon as possible post surgery is a key part of recovery and regaining function and have seen this first hand with our clients.
A build up of scar tissue, protective posturing and the consequences of treatment all mean that day to day movements and activities such as shampooing your hair, putting on your bra or reaching up to a shelf can be more difficult.
The Pink Ribbon Pilates exercise program will help you to re-build strength and mobility, gradually. We know how to work with those at risk from lymphodema to ensure every workout is safe.
Our goal is to provide a supportive, caring, safe and friendly environment for those coming back to exercise after surgery or even during any adjuvant treatments. You can do Pilates during chemo/radiation too, depending on your energy levels.
Our online program is six weeks in duration and consists of a weekly class of 45 minutes with some home exercises for you to practice in between classes. Once you sign up for the program with us we will post you a stretch band for use in class.
